Molteni&C and Salvatore Ferragamo present «Materia»

Within the Salone del Mobile 2016, we have a new skyline for Molteni&C and Salvatore Ferragamo: alongside the historic window displays of Boutique Donna in Via Montenapoleone is showcasing the “Materia” installation, inspired by Molteni&C’s new textile collection.

Materia is the result of careful recovery and research work into the archives of the greatest Italian textile manufacturers, three new textile designs, inspired by the world of Nature: Foliage (suggested by tropical plants) and Roots (inspired by the roots of old trees), plus a more sophisticated textile interpretation of Viennese cane seating in Paglia. Three digital prints with a refined design, which reflect an attentive interpretation of Molteni&C’s world and quality in terms of textiles, with a clear reference to the Como silk printing tradition. 

The prints, reproduced on wallpaper, will provide a backdrop for iconic Molteni&C products.

It had always been great and inspiring the collaborations between interior design and fashion. And this is one of the most eclectic and fascinating!
